Good filter but leaves a granular residue, The purified is rally clean and tastes good, but the upper container tends to have loose residue which need to be discarded every now and then.
The Brita filter, Have been using Brita filters on and off for years, depending on where I am living at the time. Up until recently, I have never really felt the need to filter New York Tap. However, I began to detect a funny odor and taste; and a few comments from my husband and a friend finally pushed me to acquiesce. As in past cities I've inhabited, such as Chicago and Austin, I have been quite happy with The Brita. Greatly appreciate the product.

Filters for Brita pitcher, I purchased the Brita pitcher approximately 3 years ago. Since then, I have purchased many refill cartridges. I drink about a gallon of water per day, so my refills usually last approximately 8 or 9 weeks. I suppose that for someone who does not drink as much as I do, it would last many more weeks. The water tastes great and I feel confident many pollutants have been cleared by going thru the Brita filter. I recommend this product highly. BTW, I suggest you purchase the larger pitcher (I believe it holds 1/2 gallon) because the lid of the smaller size pitcher sometimes does not fit tight enough and can cause water spillage. Overall, I love my Brita filtration system!

These filters are such a great deal on this site and the only complaint I have is not knowing when to change the filter. Didn't the Brita filters use to have a dial that points out when to change to a new filter? I love Brita filters (and the jugs) for the taste (or the lack of it) that it gives my tap water. I use it all the time and when I accidentally drank a glass of unfiltered tap water, I could taste the difference!
